Xpeng is preparing to enter Brazil in the second half of 2027, according to the report, and is working on the foundations for a local commercial operation, including vehicle sales and distribution. A Chinese executive who previously worked for GAC in Brazil is expected to represent the company. Xpeng has a limited presence in Latin America, with commercial representation in Mexico, Colombia and Uruguay.
The company has not announced a Brazilian model range. The report says electrified SUVs could be a focus and identifies the G6 and G9 as possible candidates, while stressing that no local lineup has been confirmed. Xpeng may also explore local assembly or manufacturing with a Brazilian partner. Potential options mentioned include HPE, which works with GAC in Catalão, Goiás, and Ceará’s PACE automotive hub, which handles local assembly for General Motors and MG. These are possibilities, not confirmed agreements with Xpeng.
The G6 is a 4.76-meter electric SUV with an 80.8-kWh battery and outputs of 296 or 494 hp. The report gives claimed ranges of 525 km for the rear-wheel-drive version and 510 km for the all-wheel-drive version, and says the quicker variant reaches 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. The larger G9 measures 4.89 meters, produces up to 575 hp, reaches 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds and offers up to 585 km of range, depending on version. In China, Xpeng also partners with Volkswagen on the ID. Unyx series, whose technology includes an 800-volt electrical system and Nvidia and Qualcomm chips.
