Denza’s Z electric sports car has arrived in Brazil, where it was photographed after being unloaded. The BYD luxury marque has identified the Z as one of three vehicles it plans to launch in the country by the end of 2026, as it builds on interest in the Z9 GT. The brand also sells the B3 SUV in Brazil.
The road-going Z will be offered as a coupe and a convertible. Its three electric motors produce a combined 1,604 hp and 126.5 kgfm of torque: a 680-hp motor drives the front axle, while two rear motors each deliver 462 hp. Denza claims a 0–100 km/h time of 2.2 seconds and a top speed of 300 km/h. A track-focused Racing version is rated at 1.9 seconds to 100 km/h and a maximum speed of 350 km/h.
A 76-kWh battery gives the coupe a claimed WLTP range of 408 km; the Racing version is rated for 378 km. Denza says its Flash Charging system can support up to 1,500 kW, replenishing the battery from 10% to 70% in five minutes and to 97% in nine minutes. The Z measures 4.78 metres long and weighs 2,230 kg. The coupe has a 2+2 cabin, with the rear seats described as suitable for short trips.
