In South Africa, a review of the 2026 iCaur 03T iWD finds a distinctive, well-equipped electric SUV aimed at everyday use and weekend outings. iCaur is a Chery new-energy sub-brand, and the 03T sits between its V23 and V27 models. The iWD is the all-wheel-drive, dual-motor version; a single-motor rear-wheel-drive model is also available, while a range-extended variant is due later this year.
The iWD produces 205 kW and 385 N·m, weighs 1,874 kg and has a claimed 0–100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds. Its claimed range is 436 km, with energy consumption listed at 19.9 kWh/100 km. The review notes composed road and gravel ride quality, direct steering and low body roll. Off-road modes are exclusive to the iWD and adjust throttle response, regenerative braking, traction control and steering weight.
South African pricing starts at R639,900 for the rear-drive version, rising to R699,900 for the iWD. The package includes an eight-year/200,000 km vehicle warranty and roadside assistance, an eight-year/160,000 km battery warranty, and a five-year/100,000 km service plan. The cabin offers a 15.6-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 450-litre boot, but placing most controls on the screen creates a learning curve and the voice assistant can be unreliable. Rivals cited include the Geely E5 and BYD Atto 3.
