Aistaland, the brand developed by GAC Group and Huawei, launched the GX7 in China on September 23. The five-seat extended-range SUV is its second model, following the GT7, and is aimed at the larger family-SUV market. Limited-time prices for its three versions run from 229,900 yuan ($34,060) to 291,900 yuan, below official guide prices of 239,900 yuan to 301,900 yuan. The offer includes a 10,000-yuan discount on the final payment; an additional 8,000-yuan trade-in subsidy brings the range to 221,900–283,900 yuan.
The GX7 measures 5,099 mm long, 2,006 mm wide and 1,750 mm high, with a 3,070 mm wheelbase. Each version uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender. The rear-wheel-drive model has a 200 kW motor and reaches 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds; the 340 kW dual-motor all-wheel-drive version does so in 4.9 seconds, while the 550 kW tri-motor version takes 3.9 seconds. CATL supplies 52 kWh LFP and 67 kWh ternary lithium batteries. CLTC electric-only range is 325–385 km, and combined range is 1,500–1,580 km.
The top version has an 800-volt system and 5C charging, taking 10 minutes to charge from 30% to 80%; the other versions take 15 minutes. The SUV also features Huawei’s Qiankun ADS 5 driver-assistance system, four LiDAR units, HarmonySpace 6 and dual 15.6-inch displays. Aistaland’s first model, the GT7, sold 2,658 units in July and 1,100 in August, a 58.62% month-on-month drop. The GX7 competes with models including the Aito M7, Li Auto L6 and Xiaomi YU7.
