BYD’s refreshed Song Pro plug-in hybrid is now available at Brazilian dealerships, but a discount of up to R$28,500 applies to the earlier GL configuration. The promotion on BYD’s official website runs through the end of October, reducing the suggested price from R$189,990 to R$161,490. The report says the offer appears to be for the 2026/2027 version shown in the promotion, rather than the facelifted model.
Unveiled in August, the refreshed SUV gains a redesigned front end, revised 18-inch wheels and smaller exterior changes. Inside, its 8.8-inch instrument display is integrated into the dashboard and the gear selector moves to the steering column. The 12.8-inch infotainment screen no longer rotates and now has Google software integration. The GS trim also adds a panoramic sunroof.
The Song Pro is built by BYD in Camaçari, Bahia. It measures 4.738 metres long, with a 2.712-metre wheelbase, and has 520 litres of luggage space. Its DM-i plug-in hybrid system pairs a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine with an electric motor. Combined output is 223 hp in the GL and 235 hp in the GS. The trims have 12.9-kWh and 18.3-kWh batteries, respectively, with Inmetro-rated electric ranges of 49 km and 68 km.
BYD also advertises financing for the GL with a R$64,596 down payment followed by 36 monthly instalments of R$3,656. At the discounted price, the SUV sits between two Volkswagen T-Cross versions cited in the report: the 200 TSI at R$152,890 and the Comfortline 200 TSI at R$173,790. Other competitors named include the Toyota Corolla Cross, Jeep Commander and Jaecoo 7.
