Luxeed, a brand under Chery Group, made its global debut in Wuhu, China, on October 21. Executive vice president Gary Zhu said the marque’s approach to intelligent driving technology is centered on people, with the stated aim of making journeys easier, safer and more controlled for drivers and passengers.

The brand plans to take two premium models into global markets: the Llounge and Stormax. Luxeed also intends to add three more products before 2030. Zhu said the company aims to reach more than 60 countries and territories within five years, and is targeting annual sales of 500,000 units by 2030.

Indonesia is among the markets on Luxeed’s expansion plan, although no local launch date has been confirmed. The report says the brand is expected to make its Indonesian debut next year. A Luxeed R7 has already been spotted undergoing road tests in the country, including on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in late August.
