Chery has outlined updates to the Tiggo 7, a family SUV that reached the UK in September 2025. The revised model is expected to arrive in showrooms, though the company has not said when. It will be sold alongside the more rugged Tiggo 7X and competes with models including the Kia Sportage and MG HS.

The exterior keeps much of the current design, including its broad grille and distinctive LED headlights. Changes include a revised shoulderline, door mirrors mounted on the doors, updated bumpers, side skirts and alloy wheels, plus redesigned rear lights. The larger changes are inside: a cleaner dashboard layout puts a landscape touchscreen above toggle switches, with a separate digital instrument display. Quilted leatherette remains, while the front seats add massage, heating and cooling, and a deployable footrest. Ambient lighting runs across the dashboard.

Chery quotes 505 litres of boot capacity, around 60 litres less than in the current petrol version. The powertrain range is expected to include petrol and plug-in hybrid options. The Super-Hybrid plug-in model is set to offer scheduled charging, while a self-charging hybrid is under consideration but not confirmed.

Pricing has not been announced. Auto Express expects a modest increase on the current Tiggo 7’s £24,995 UK starting price. The article also notes that the new model’s platform can accommodate pure-petrol engines, suggesting that this type of entry-level powertrain may continue.
