Dongfeng has introduced the 007 in Chile through local distributor CIDEF. The fastback is part of the Chinese automaker’s eπ sub-brand, which is also bringing the 008 SUV to the market. The 007 is offered in a single version, priced at CLP 27,890,000 before incentives; listed discounts can bring the price to CLP 23,990,000.

The car’s range-extender system combines a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine, rated at 103 hp and 137 Nm, with a 28.4-kWh LFP battery. The gasoline engine generates electricity rather than driving the wheels; a rear-mounted electric motor supplies 215 hp and 310 Nm. Dongfeng quotes acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in under 7.3 seconds and a top speed of 150 km/h. Its claimed maximum range exceeds 1,100 km on the NEDC cycle, while the stated city electric-only figure is 174 km.

At 4,880 mm long with a 2,915-mm wheelbase, the 007 is a large five-door fastback with a 452-liter trunk. Chilean-market equipment includes a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, an 8.8-inch driver display, 19 speakers, ventilated front seats, six airbags and driver-assistance features such as adaptive cruise control and autonomous emergency braking. The model is built on the same electric platform and uses the same type of powertrain as the eπ 008 SUV.
