Chery will release the Long-Range Edition of its iCaur V27 in China on September 30, 2026. Known domestically as the iCar V27, the mid-to-large unibody SUV gets a range-oriented update along with cabin and smart-tech improvements, though pricing for the new version is still unannounced. Today's three-trim lineup runs from 169,800 yuan for the rear-drive Falcon 500 to 196,800 yuan for the flagship Falcon 700.
Mechanically, the V27 pairs a 105 kW 1.5-litre turbocharged generator with electric motors — 185 kW in RWD form and 335 kW in dual-motor AWD — drawing on a 34.3 kWh LFP pack that delivers up to 210 km of CLTC electric range (RWD) and a combined 1,230 km. Off-road credentials include a 24-degree approach angle, 23-degree departure angle, and 600 mm of wading depth. The cabin runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295P with a DeepSeek voice assistant, while the Falcon 700 adds roof-mounted LiDAR and a 560-TOPS Horizon Robotics Journey 6P chip for its navigation-assist system.
The refresh arrives with sales momentum fading: monthly deliveries peaked at 4,184 units in April, then dropped to 3,456, 2,219, 1,764, and finally 1,609 in August, while the model's share of the brand's volume slipped from 63.8 percent to 39.3 percent over the same span. In China's boxy-SUV niche, the V27 faces the Jetour Shanhai T2 and BYD's Fang Cheng Bao Bao 5. Once the domestic version is updated, exports under the iCaur badge are slated to grow across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Eastern Europe.
