Chery Group’s Lepas brand will begin operating in Brazil in 2027, the company confirmed at its International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The event featured the L4, L6 and L8 SUVs, which make up Lepas’s initial global lineup. The brand has not said which models Brazil will receive or in what order.

Founded in April 2025 and headquartered in Wuhu, Lepas is positioned for premium and lifestyle buyers, with production aimed at international markets rather than sales in China. Its SUVs range from about 4.40 to 4.69 metres long and include fully electric and plug-in hybrid configurations. The designs also draw on leopard-inspired styling, reflected in the brand’s name.

The L4 measures about 4.40 metres long and has a 160-kW electric motor, equivalent to roughly 218 hp. The L6 plug-in hybrid pairs a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor for a combined 279 hp and uses an 18.4-kWh battery. Its all-electric version, announced for the UK, has a 65-kWh battery, around 218 hp and a claimed range of about 449 km.

At the top of the family, the 4.69-metre L8 is offered in Italy as a plug-in hybrid with 279 hp and an 18.4-kWh battery. Lepas claims a 0–100 km/h time of 7.9 seconds and up to 90 km of electric range on the WLTP cycle. These overseas specifications offer an indication of the lineup, not confirmation of Brazilian versions.
