Chery is preparing to enter Australia’s pickup market with the Stockman, and has teamed up with local off-road equipment maker IRONMAN 4X4 on a vehicle-specific accessory range. Customers will be able to order the equipment through Chery dealers, including when configuring a vehicle from the outset. The initial catalogue spans seven product groups for protection, carrying gear and increasing ground clearance.

Options include an aluminium APEX front bumper with a 12,000 lb winch-mounting point, recovery points and a 4 mm underbody plate. Buyers can also choose steel side steps and rails, a low-profile aluminium roof rack, and an aluminium bed cover available with different access-door configurations. The cover weighs about 70 kg and is rated for 180 kg of dynamic roof load or 380 kg static load. Drawer storage and a rear tow hitch with an integrated step are also offered; the Stockman’s maximum towing capacity is 3.5 tonnes.

The IM2.5 suspension kit raises the front and rear by 50 mm, with spring options for regular loads of 200 kg or 300 kg. Accessories purchased with the pickup qualify for Chery’s seven-year warranty. A gross vehicle mass upgrade is being considered, but is not yet confirmed for sale. The Stockman is a plug-in hybrid pickup with a turbo-diesel engine, 350 kW and 800 Nm, four-wheel drive, low-range gearing and locking differentials. Chery quotes about 100 km of electric-only range on the NEDC cycle. Australian deliveries are expected from February 2027; pricing and final specifications have not been fully announced.
