BYD’s premium Denza marque is now using the name Danza in Indonesia, where models under the new name appear in the 2026 vehicle-tax schedule with lower listed values than matching Denza versions. The figures are official NJKB values in the schedule, rather than confirmed retail prices.

The name change follows a trademark dispute. PT Worcas Nusantara Abadi registered Denza for vehicles in July 2023, before BYD filed for the name in Indonesia in August 2024. A Jakarta commercial court rejected BYD’s lawsuit in April 2025, and the Supreme Court later dismissed BYD’s appeal. The ruling also recorded that ownership of the Denza mark had transferred to PT Raden Reza Adi. BYD has since applied to register Danza.

The schedule lists Danza sedan codes EXE and HTE with AWD and RWD configurations, alongside minibus codes MRE-AWD and MRE-FWD. For MRE-FWD, the listed value is Rp 537 million under Danza versus Rp 765 million under Denza; the AWD versions are Rp 585 million and Rp 931 million, respectively. Other Danza entries include SFH variants at Rp 439 million or Rp 473 million, and SZH variants at Rp 513 million or Rp 543 million. The article says these additional Danza values are all below Rp 600 million.
