Denza will unveil its new N8 battery-electric SUV on November 12 at 7 p.m. Beijing time, at BYD’s headquarters in Shenzhen. The five-seat model began accepting pre-orders on October 26. Customers placing a deposit of 2,000 yuan can choose either a 5,000-yuan options credit or an equipment package. The pre-order details cover the electric version; Denza has not announced plans for a plug-in hybrid variant.

The N8 measures 5,150 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,820 mm tall, with a 3,075 mm wheelbase. Buyers can select from eight exterior color combinations. Single-motor configurations are listed with peak outputs of 320 kW or 370 kW. The e3-platform tri-motor all-wheel-drive version combines a 270 kW front motor with two 310 kW rear motors, for total output of 890 kW. It also offers compass-style turns and an intelligent creep function.

BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and flash-charging system feature in the N8, with a claimed maximum range of 1,003 km. Denza says charging can provide a usable amount of energy in five minutes and approach a full charge in nine, with only three additional minutes needed at temperatures down to minus 30°C. Equipment includes God's Eye 5.0 driver assistance, DiSus-A air suspension, a panoramic head-up display and a 30-inch central screen. The revived N8 name previously belonged to six- and seven-seat plug-in hybrids launched in 2023 and discontinued within a year. The new electric model will sit alongside the six-seat N8L in Denza’s SUV range.
