Foton plans to bring its Tunland pick-up to the UK in early 2027, adding a Chinese commercial vehicle to a market where Chinese brands have so far made fewer inroads with pick-ups than with SUVs. International Motors will handle UK distribution. Prices, final specifications and dealership details have not yet been released.
The Tunland uses a 2.0-litre diesel engine with mild-hybrid assistance and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Its rear suspension is a multi-link design, described as comfort-focused; the article notes that some rival pick-ups still use leaf springs. Foton has not yet provided a fuller technical specification.
Cabin features listed so far include a large central touchscreen, digital instrument display, physical controls, wireless phone charging, stitched leather upholstery and a panoramic glass roof. The model is positioned as a more comfort- and technology-oriented choice than a basic work truck. International Motors previously imported the Great Wall Steed and more recently began bringing in the GWM Poer300. Foton also intends to launch its Cavan C1 electric van in the UK. The brand was previewed to UK audiences at the 2026 Commercial Vehicle Show.
