A PakWheels owner review in Pakistan examines the GAC Aion V as a daily-use electric crossover priced around PKR 9 million. The owner, Saad, says he gets about 400 km of city driving per charge from its 64.5 kWh battery. GAC’s listed range figures are 520 km under the NEDC cycle and 435 km under WLTP. The Aion V is rated at 134 hp and 0–100 km/h acceleration takes 9.5 seconds. Its ex-factory price is PKR 8.9 million, while the review gives an on-road Lahore figure of PKR 9 million.

Saad considered alternatives including the BYD Atto 3 and Jaecoo J6. He chose the Aion V for its cabin space, rear legroom and comfortable ride on rough roads. The review also notes ventilated and heated front seats, reclining rear seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a nine-speaker audio system and Vehicle-to-Load capability. The front seats fold flat, and the boot can accommodate two golf bags. A 6.6 kW home charger is included; charging from 10% to full takes about 7.5 to 8 hours.

His daily driving totals roughly 100–125 km, so he charges about once every three days. He estimates running costs at around PKR 5 per km with solar charging and PKR 10 per km using grid electricity, compared with about PKR 20 per km for a Nissan Note hybrid. Consumption reportedly rises from about 12 kWh/100 km in city use to as much as 28 kWh/100 km on fast motorway journeys and hills; motorway chargers can charge up to PKR 150 per unit. The review also advises buyers to confirm that insurance explicitly covers the battery. Overall, it presents the Aion V as a comfortable city EV, with long-distance costs as a key consideration.
