A comparison published in Pakistan weighs the Geely EX5 against the BYD Atto 3, pairing a top-spec version of the EX5 sold in Thailand with the Atto 3 Advance offered in Pakistan. The EX5 has been shown in Pakistan, but its local price and specifications remain unannounced, so its figures in the comparison are not confirmation of what Pakistani buyers will receive.

On paper, the EX5 is larger and more powerful: it measures 4,615 mm long and produces 160 kW and 320 Nm, versus the Atto 3’s 4,455 mm, 150 kW and 310 Nm. The EX5’s 68.39 kWh LFP battery is also bigger than the Atto 3’s 49.92 kWh pack. Their stated ranges—450 km WLTP for the EX5 and 410 km NEDC for the Atto 3—use different test cycles, so they do not provide a direct range comparison. The EX5’s quoted 20-minute DC charging time also lacks a stated charging window; the Atto 3 figure is about 30 minutes from 30% to 80%.

The EX5 lists a 461-litre boot and a 16-speaker audio system, while the Atto 3 has a 440-litre boot and seven airbags, one more than the Thai-spec EX5. The Atto 3’s Pakistani price, specifications and warranty are known, including battery coverage of eight years or 160,000 km. The comparison’s conclusion is conditional: Geely’s eventual Pakistan pricing and equipment will determine how competitive the EX5 is, and real-world range, charging and ride performance still need testing.
