Geely Auto staged its formal entry into the Swiss market with a brand and product launch in Zurich on September 16, where it presented three vehicles aimed at different segments: the E5, a battery-electric compact SUV; the E2, a battery-electric crossover; and the Starray EM-i, a mid-size plug-in hybrid SUV.
A test-drive program ran alongside the debut and drew a crowd of more than 100, spanning dealers, key-account partners and journalists. The company acknowledged how exacting Swiss buyers are on quality, safety and sustainable mobility, and committed to enlarging its Swiss range over time.
The Swiss launch lands during a remarkable export run. Geely shipped 110,094 vehicles abroad in August, a 205 percent year-on-year jump that marked the eighth consecutive month of triple-digit gains. Through August, overseas volume stood at 690,985 units, up 170 percent — already far above the 420,097 it exported in all of 2025.
Domestic growth, by contrast, has cooled: total sales rose 8 percent year-on-year to 270,194 units in August, though new energy vehicles made up 65 percent of the total at 175,877 units.
