Great Wall Motor has introduced the Haval H7 Max in Chile, expanding the local lineup with a large SUV offered exclusively with hybrid power. Buyers can choose a self-charging HEV, priced at a promotional CLP 27,490,000, or a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) at CLP 30,990,000. Their respective list prices are CLP 28,690,000 and CLP 32,190,000. Both versions share Deluxe equipment, four-wheel drive and warranty coverage of five years or 150,000 km; the battery warranty is eight years.

The two variants use a 1.5-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle petrol engine, a front electric motor and a second motor on the rear axle. Combined output is rated at 359 hp and 760 Nm. The HEV has a 1.53-kWh battery and cannot drive solely on electric power; GWM quotes combined fuel consumption of 14.1 km/l. The PHEV’s 19.01-kWh battery provides a claimed 85 km of electric range on the NEDC cycle and 960 km of total range. It supports DC charging at up to 33 kW through a CCS2 connector. The PHEV also gets an electronically locking rear differential.

At 4,800 mm long, the H7 Max is larger than the petrol H7 still sold in Chile. It has a 2,738-mm wheelbase, 586 liters of luggage space (up to 1,400 liters with the seats folded) and 210 mm of ground clearance. Cabin equipment includes a 12.6-inch instrument display, a 15.6-inch central screen, heated and ventilated power-adjustable seats, and a nine-speaker audio system with a subwoofer. The safety and driver-assistance package includes six airbags, 20 assistance features and 360-degree cameras.

The H7 name has appeared in Chile before, but this model is based on the newer vehicle sold in China as the Raptor. It will coexist with the existing petrol H7 for a period, with the two Chilean models expected to remain available until early 2027.
