GWM has put the Haval H7 on sale in Brazil in a single trim, priced at R$261,000. The five-seat SUV slots between the H6 and H9 and combines a boxier, more rugged look with a unibody platform and plug-in hybrid power. In São Paulo, its price falls just below the state’s 2026 threshold for flex-fuel hybrids to qualify for a full IPVA vehicle-tax exemption.
The H7’s Hi4 all-wheel-drive system combines a 1.5-liter turbo flex-fuel engine rated at 150 hp with two electric motors. Total output is 370 hp and 77 kgfm of torque, with a 0–100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 190 km/h. Its 27.5-kWh LFP battery provides up to 92 km of electric driving on Brazil’s Inmetro cycle, or 130 km on the WLTP test. Charging is supported at up to 6.6 kW AC and 41 kW DC.
Measuring 4.80 meters long, the H7 has 220 mm of ground clearance, a mechanical rear differential lock and seven drive modes, including settings for snow, sand and mud. The trunk holds 586 liters with the seats up. Cabin equipment includes a 15.6-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats and a 540-degree camera system. GWM lists a five-year vehicle warranty and eight years or 200,000 km of coverage for the high-voltage battery.
The launch is part of a wider GWM expansion in Brazil. The company has also previewed the Tank 400, a plug-in hybrid off-roader, and says the Ora 5 will join the models produced locally in the coming years.
