Chery’s iCAUR brand unveiled the V25 SUV at its 2026 International User Summit in Wuhu, China. The model slots between the smaller V23 and larger V27 and is the first in iCAUR’s global lineup to offer both battery-electric (BEV) and range-extended electric (REEV) powertrains. International-market arrivals are expected from early 2027, with specifications and timing varying by region.
The BEV runs solely on battery power, while the REEV uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine as a generator for its electric drivetrain. iCAUR says its Golden REEV system has a maximum engine thermal efficiency of 44.5% and can generate 3.71 kWh of electricity per liter of fuel. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version is rated at 335 kW and 505 Nm, and the SUV offers five driving modes, including EV Priority, Hybrid and Forced Charge.
The China-market V25 measures 4,636 mm long, 1,920 mm wide and 1,855 mm tall, with a 2,820 mm wheelbase. Its listed equipment includes seven airbags, driver-assistance features, a 540-degree camera system, 41 storage compartments and a claimed maximum luggage capacity of 1,549 liters. It also supports 1,800 kg braked towing and 6 kW vehicle-to-load power. More than 20 built-in mounting points are intended to accommodate accessories.
Pakistan is a potential market, but not a confirmed one: Nexgen Auto, part of Nishat Group, launched the V23 and V27 there in September 2026, while it has made no announcement about the V25. iCAUR says it plans to expand from more than 40 international markets to over 70 in 2027 and expects to offer customized accessory versions in selected markets.
