Jetour plans to launch its G700 SUV in Brazil before the end of October, with customer deliveries expected to follow from late October to early November. The announcement was confirmed at a Chery Group event in Wuhu, China. The G700 will become the fifth Jetour model in Brazil and sit at the top of the brand’s local range. The company is due to reveal prices and final equipment at the commercial presentation; estimates put the price above R$500,000 and potentially close to R$600,000, but no figure has been confirmed.
The Brazilian version is a plug-in hybrid combining a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with two electric motors, one on each axle. Jetour quotes peak output of 904 hp and 1,135 Nm of torque, with XWD all-wheel drive and a two-speed hybrid transmission. The company says the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Its 34.13-kWh LFP battery is rated for up to 100 km of electric-only driving and a combined range of up to 1,000 km under WLTC testing. Fast charging is rated at up to 170 kW; Brazilian range and consumption figures remain subject to Inmetro homologation.
At 5,198 mm long, the G700 has six seats in a 2+2+2 layout and is equipped for off-road use, including air suspension, 230 mm of ground clearance and a stated 900 mm wading depth. It is larger than the GWM Wey 07 and GAC GS9, though Jetour says its off-road focus sets it apart from those family-oriented SUVs. The model was shown in Brazil at Festival Interlagos in August.
