Jetour has put the T2 i-DM XWD on sale in Mexico, with a launch price of MXN 929,900 against a listed price of MXN 969,900. The plug-in hybrid SUV combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine and two electric motors to produce 597 hp and 675 lb-ft of torque. Jetour quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 5.5 seconds, up to 173 km of electric range, 1,073 km of combined range and fuel consumption of 31 km/l.
Its XWD all-wheel-drive setup uses a 3DHT hybrid system at the front and a 235-hp P4 electric motor at the rear, rather than a conventional transfer case and low-range gearbox. The system can switch between two- and four-wheel drive, and includes an electromechanical rear differential lock, seven drive modes and a crawl function. The T2 is rated for 700 mm of water fording, has 201 mm of ground clearance, and lists approach and departure angles of 28 and 30 degrees.
Equipment includes Level 2 driver-assistance features, a 15.6-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 11-speaker Sony audio system, a 50-watt wireless charger and a panoramic roof. Front seats have memory, heating and ventilation. The report also describes road and off-road testing, noting the vehicle’s performance in rock and mud modes.
Jetour says the T2 has sold 500,000 units globally in 33 months and accounts for 37% of the brand’s sales. In Mexico, the company plans to grow its dealer network from 51 to 57 by the first quarter of 2027 and is targeting monthly sales of 1,000 to 1,100 units in the off-road segment.
