FAW-Volkswagen’s Jetta brand has opened pre-sales for the M6, its first battery-electric vehicle. Prices span 80,800 to 99,800 yuan (about $11,990 to $14,810), with three versions named 465 Pro, 555 Max and 555 Ultra to reflect their stated CLTC ranges. The sedan is scheduled for an official launch in mid-October.

The M6 uses a front-wheel-drive, single-motor layout, with peak power options of 113 kW and 145 kW. CALB supplies the batteries, and the model is listed with range figures of 465 km or 555 km. It measures 4,806 mm long and has a 2,820 mm wheelbase; cabin equipment includes a 15.6-inch central display and a digital instrument panel.

Jetta is positioning the car in China’s entry-level EV segment, around the 100,000-yuan mark. The brand plans five new models by 2028, including four new-energy vehicles, and has set a medium-term annual production and sales goal of 400,000 to 500,000 vehicles.
