Leapmotor has introduced the B03, a 4.2-meter electric hatchback making its European debut at the Paris Motor Show. Positioned in the B segment above the smaller T03, it is intended to compete in a market that includes the Renault 5. The car has a rounded exterior, a front end without a conventional grille and large headlamps.

The cabin features a 14.6-inch central multimedia screen and an 8.8-inch digital instrument display. Leapmotor says rear passengers have up to 888 mm of legroom, and the interior includes more than 30 storage compartments. The rear seats can be folded or raised to adapt the cargo area, while a 90-liter compartment beneath the trunk floor is designed to keep wet or dirty items separate. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are also listed, along with 21 driver-assistance systems.

The European version uses a 194 hp (145 kW) electric motor and a 53 kWh battery. Its claimed range is up to 392 km on the WLTC cycle, and fast charging takes the battery from 10% to 80% in 21 minutes. Leapmotor also highlights an oil-cooled propulsion system. In China, the model is sold as the A05, including versions with a smaller battery, but the company has not confirmed whether that configuration will reach Europe. A final European price has not been announced; estimates put it near €20,000.
