Leapmotor has shown the B03X for the first time in Malaysia at ACE 2026. The right-hand-drive Seaweed Green display car is intended to gauge local interest and is not necessarily representative of the final Malaysian specification. The electric B-segment SUV is expected to launch in the first half of 2027, with local assembly planned at Gurun, Kedah. In China, the model was introduced as the A10; B03X is its name for overseas markets.

The expected powertrain uses a front-mounted electric motor rated at 197 PS and 200 Nm. Leapmotor quotes a 0–100 km/h time of 8.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 160 km/h. In Europe, buyers can choose 39.8 kWh or 53 kWh batteries, with respective WLTP ranges of 292 km and 382 km. Maximum charging rates are 133 kW DC, allowing a 30–80% charge in about 16 minutes, and 11 kW AC. The article suggests the larger battery may be more likely for Malaysia, but no local battery choice has been confirmed.

The B03X measures 4,270 mm long, 1,810 mm wide and has a 2,605 mm wheelbase. It is smaller than the BYD Atto 2 in length, width and wheelbase, while it is longer and slightly wider than the Proton eMas 5 but has a shorter wheelbase. The expected international version is described as having Yokohama tyres, chassis tuning by Stellantis at Italy’s Balocco proving ground, an 8.88-inch driver display and a 14.6-inch touchscreen.
