Luxeed is set to enter Indonesia, and the R7 is considered a likely candidate for one of the brand’s first models there. DetikOto had previously spotted camouflaged R7 test vehicles on Indonesian roads, including on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road in late August. Reporters later saw an uncovered, purple example parked in Wuhu, China; its trim level was not identified.
In China, the R7 starts at around 239,000 yuan (about Rp 640 million) for the Max and reaches roughly 319,000 yuan (about Rp 860 million) for the Ultra. The SUV measures 4,982 mm long and 1,981 mm wide, with a height of 1,634 or 1,650 mm depending on the specification. Its wheelbase is 2,950 mm.
The R7 uses Huawei’s 800-volt Giant Whale battery platform. A single rear-mounted motor produces up to 227 kW, and the stated maximum driving range is 855 km under the CLTC test cycle. Driver-assistance equipment includes Huawei ADS 5 and an imaging-grade LiDAR system with dual optical paths and 896 channels. An in-cabin LiDAR is optional on some versions. The report does not provide an Indonesian launch date or local pricing.
