MG has added the 2027 MG 5 Plus to its Colombian lineup, with the sedan priced at COP 64,990,000 at the time of publication. The model is sold through MG Colombia’s dealer network by importer Los Coches. MG, a British-origin marque owned by China’s SAIC, presents it as a spacious, affordable family car; the article notes that it costs COP 3 million less than the Renault Logan. Chevrolet Onix and Nissan V-Drive are also among its market references.
The MG 5 Plus measures 4.61 meters long, with a 2.68-meter wheelbase, and has a 406-liter luggage compartment. Its naturally aspirated 1.5-liter gasoline engine produces 110 hp and 142 Nm, driving the front wheels through a five-speed manual gearbox. The car has McPherson front suspension, a torsion-beam rear setup and disc brakes at all four wheels. Its fuel tank holds 48 liters, and the engine meets Euro V emissions standards.
Equipment includes LED headlights, a 10.25-inch central touchscreen with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, rear air-conditioning vents and six airbags. Stability and traction control, hill-start assistance, tire-pressure monitoring, ISOFIX mounts and rear parking sensors are also included. The single available version does not offer advanced driver-assistance systems, and its rear seatback folds as one piece. MG lists a private-use warranty of six years or 120,000 km, subject to its terms.
