Omoda plans to begin selling the revised Omoda 5 in Spain in the first half of 2027. The brand, part of China’s Chery Group, says it has sold 30,000 vehicles in Spain since arriving in 2024; the Omoda 5 was among its first models in the market. The refreshed SUV will be offered as a hybrid and as a battery-electric vehicle.
The five-seat model measures 4.53 metres long, 1.82 metres wide and 1.59 metres tall, with a 2.61-metre wheelbase. Boot capacity exceeds 400 litres and can grow to more than 1,100 litres with the rear seats folded. Exterior revisions include a cleaner front end, new 18-inch alloy wheels and updated rear lights. Inside, an 8.9-inch digital instrument panel sits alongside a new 15.6-inch central touchscreen. Standard equipment includes heated front seats and steering wheel, plus dual-zone climate control.
The SHS hybrid combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors, a 1.83-kWh NMC battery and a single-ratio 1DHT transmission. Output is 224 hp and 295 Nm, with 0–100 km/h taking 7.9 seconds. Omoda quotes a 5.2-l/100 km combined fuel consumption figure. The hybrid accounted for 88% of Omoda 5 sales in 2026, with close to 10,000 registrations so far that year.
The electric version uses a 155-kW motor driving the front wheels and a 61-kWh LFP battery. Its claimed WLTP range is 430 km, and stated energy consumption is 15.9 kWh/100 km. DC charging peaks at 130 kW, with a 30–80% charge taking 28 minutes; AC charging is rated at 11 kW.
