Omoda revealed the X concept in Wuhu, China, on Oct. 20, 2026, previewing the brand’s first off-road SUV. The angular design is a departure from the more urban Omoda 5 and 7, and moves closer to the rugged look of Jaecoo models. Its styling uses the “Cyber Mecha” design language introduced on the Omoda 4, with prominent wheel arches, off-road tires, roof rails and a narrow front lighting strip. The concept was shown in silver and green, both with a contrasting black roof.
The X is expected to measure about 4.7 meters long, close to the 4.66-meter Omoda 7. Omoda cites 20 centimeters of ground clearance, wading capability exceeding 70 centimeters, towing capacity of up to 1,800 kilograms and a maximum roof load of 75 kilograms.
Inside, the concept has a 10.25-inch digital instrument display and a vertically oriented 13.2-inch multimedia screen. Its cabin includes additional physical buttons and a flat-bottom steering wheel, with a layout the report compares to Lamborghini sports cars. A conceptual voice assistant is designed to understand and respond to natural speech.
Omoda has not announced powertrain details. Full-hybrid, plug-in hybrid and all-electric versions are expected, according to the report. The X is projected to enter assembly in late 2027, ahead of a global launch in 2028; it has not been confirmed for Brazil.
