Refreshed Hongqi H5 sedan opens for orders in Russia, priced from 4.48 million rubles

Hongqi's Russian office has started taking orders for the updated H5, offered in a single Deluxe trim at a recommended 4,480,000 rubles. The second-generation sedan dates back to 2022, reached Russia officially in 2023, and received its mid-cycle facelift on the home market this spring.

Styling changes are concentrated at the edges: the trademark two-tier headlamps remain, but the upper DRL strips adopt a crisper shape with new LED internals, and the main lamp units, bumpers, tail lights and 18-inch wheel design are all new. Overall size is untouched — 4988 mm long with a 2920-mm wheelbase.

The cabin is where the work happened. There's a new dashboard, steering wheel, console and door panels; the instrument cluster drops its cowl and shrinks to 10.25 inches, while the old upright touchscreen is replaced by a larger, conventionally oriented 15.6-inch display. Gear selection moves to a column stalk, with physical controls, a wireless charging pad and cupholders occupying the tunnel.

Mechanically nothing changes for Russia: a front-drive 218-hp 2.0-liter turbo with 340 Nm and a conventional eight-speed automatic, good for 0-100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and 230 km/h. The Deluxe package includes a panoramic roof, heated and ventilated seats with a massaging driver's chair, surround cameras, adaptive cruise and a suite of active safety systems.
