The cheapest hybrid cars in Brazil for 2026

Hybrids are going mainstream in Brazil. According to industry group ABVE, electrified models — mild hybrids excluded — accounted for 21% of sales between January and July, helped by a fast-growing line-up at lower price points. Buyers can now choose from 12 full hybrids or plug-in hybrids priced below R$ 200,000, and that count will grow with upcoming arrivals such as the plug-in BYD Dolphin G and the Jaecoo 5, the new entry SUV from Omoda & Jaecoo.

The ranking only admits conventional full hybrids (HEV) and plug-ins (PHEV), leaving out mild hybrids for their marginal real-world efficiency gains and simpler systems. Cars are ordered from the highest price down.

The list opens with a tie at R$ 199,900: the GWM Haval H6 One, whose entry trim returns as a permanent offering with a flex-fuel 1.5 turbo making 248 hp and up to 15.8 km/l in town on gasoline, and the newly launched Jetour S06 Advance, a 315-hp plug-in good for 70 km of electric running and roughly 1,200 km of total range, though it skips active safety kit such as autonomous braking and adaptive cruise.

Further down, the Kia Niro EX dropped R$ 20,000 to R$ 194,990 for the 2026 model year and returns up to 18.3 km/l in the city, while the fleet-oriented Toyota Corolla GLI Hybrid (R$ 194,790) is the least-equipped car on the list yet manages 17.5 km/l urban on gasoline. The GAC GS4 Premium, at R$ 191,990, leans on space: 4.68 m long, a 638-liter trunk and 235 hp from its self-charging hybrid system.
