Wuling has confirmed that the Darion will launch in Vietnam on October 16, 2026, following the release of teaser images. The seven-seat MPV has a boxy profile, powered side sliding doors and a 2+2+3 seating layout, with two individual captain’s chairs in the second row. A dealer has suggested a starting price of more than VND 700 million, though the final price has not been announced.

The Darion measures 4,910 mm long, 1,850 mm wide and 1,770 mm tall, with a 2,910 mm wheelbase. Compared with the Toyota Innova Cross, it is 155 mm longer and has a wheelbase 60 mm greater. The cabin includes a 12.8-inch central infotainment screen and a digital instrument display. Some overseas versions offer electrically adjustable, ventilated second-row seats.

Wuling’s Vietnam website lists two fully electric versions with estimated ranges of 450 km and 500 km per charge. The company also lists a plug-in hybrid configuration, but local launch details for that version remain unclear. For reference, an EV version sold in Indonesia has a 150 kW front motor, 310 Nm of torque and a 60.6 kWh battery; its stated range is up to 540 km on the CLTC cycle.

In China, the model is called the Xingguang 730, while some international markets use the name Starlight 730. The Chinese-market PHEV combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor, with a claimed 125 km of electric-only range and up to 1,100 km of combined driving range under CLTC figures. The Darion’s sliding doors and size place it between medium and larger MPVs, with the article also citing the Kia Carnival as a larger class comparison.
