An updated Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype has been spotted testing at Germany’s Nürburgring Nordschleife, wearing Munich registration plates. The uncamouflaged car has a revised aerodynamic package, while Chinese media have reported that an updated version could arrive in 2027. Xiaomi has not confirmed a launch date or said whether the car is intended for Europe.
The most conspicuous change is a large twin-plane rear wing carried on swan-neck supports, replacing the production car’s fixed carbon-fibre spoiler. A movable section appears to be present, but Xiaomi has not confirmed whether it works as a drag-reduction system. The prototype also shows a larger front splitter, extra bumper-edge aero pieces, revised side skirts and louvred vents above the front wheels. It retains roof-mounted LiDAR and yellow brake callipers.
Xiaomi has not disclosed changes to the prototype’s motors, battery, suspension or brakes. The production SU7 Ultra uses three motors, producing 1,138 kW (1,526 hp) and 1,770 Nm, with a 93.7 kWh CATL Qilin 2.0 battery and a claimed CLTC range of 630 km. Its China starting price is 529,900 yuan (about US$79,600).
The SU7 Ultra Track Package recorded a 7:04.957 Nordschleife lap on April 1, 2025. A Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package and Manthey Kit posted 6:55.533 on April 15, 2026, beating Xiaomi’s time by 9.424 seconds. Xiaomi has announced neither a target lap time nor a record attempt for the revised prototype.
