Yangwang, BYD’s ultra-luxury brand, plans to unveil its upcoming executive sedan in the United Arab Emirates. The car is currently known by the internal codename HU. Yangwang sales chief Hu Xiaoqing shared the plan on Weibo on Oct. 21, but gave no date or venue. The brand also has not said whether the UAE event signals plans to sell the car locally.

The model’s final name, price and technical details remain undisclosed. In September, Yangwang marketing executive Zheng Yu shared teaser images and said the sedan would bring new technologies. Earlier reports have described it as roughly 5.5 meters long and suggested a price above 2 million yuan in China, with possible coach doors. Those details are estimates from previous coverage, not specifications confirmed by Yangwang. The camouflaged car shown in teasers appeared to have a long hood and wheelbase, a boxy shape and roof-mounted LiDAR; its design may draw on the U8, according to earlier reporting.

HU would add another executive car to a lineup that already includes the U7 sedan, offered as a plug-in hybrid and a battery-electric model. Yangwang launched the four-seat U8L Dingcang Edition SUV on Aug. 5, with a starting price of 1,458,000 yuan. If the earlier price estimate for HU proves accurate, it would sit above that SUV and push the brand further into the high-priced executive-sedan segment.
