BAIC is entering Brazil with the all-electric Arcfox T1 crossover, now offered for pre-order in Pro and Max versions priced at R$129,990 and R$139,990, respectively. The model targets the country’s roughly R$120,000–R$150,000 entry-level EV bracket, where the report identifies the BYD Dolphin GS, Geely EX2 and GAC Aion UT as rivals.
The T1 measures 4.34 metres long, with a 2.77-metre wheelbase and 459 litres of luggage capacity. Its cabin is described as suitable for five occupants and includes two dashboard displays, a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Listed equipment also includes a 540-degree camera view and Level 2 driver-assistance features.
A 95-hp electric motor draws power from a 42-kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. BAIC quotes a 425-km range under the CLTC test cycle; the article estimates that its eventual Brazilian Inmetro figure could be around 300 km. The company is also bringing the larger Arcfox T5 to Brazil. That model is 4.76 metres long and has a 64.8-kWh battery, a 252-hp motor and a stated 0–100 km/h time of 7.5 seconds.
