Geely is preparing to bring its EX2 electric hatchback to Russia, with sales expected to begin soon. The five-door has been sold in China since 2024 as the Geome Xingyuan and is now offered in more than 30 countries. It is called the EX2 in most overseas markets and the E2 in Europe. The Russian version will be the original, pre-update model rather than the upgraded hatchback already introduced in China.
The EX2 uses Geely’s GEA electric-vehicle platform and rear-wheel drive. Its announced Russian specification includes an electric motor producing 116 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Geely has not disclosed the battery capacity for Russia, but says the car’s range is 395 km under the NEDC test cycle. In China, the same-power Xingyuan is available with 40.16-kWh or 47.14-kWh batteries. Battery options for EX2 versions in Latin America and Indonesia are 39.4 kWh and 40.8 kWh, respectively.
Geely has confirmed a length of 4,135 mm and a 2,650-mm wheelbase for the Russian car. The global version also measures 1,850 mm wide and 1,580 mm tall, though those figures have not been confirmed for Russia. Its luggage compartment holds 375 litres, with a separate 70-litre storage space under the front hood. In China, the Xingyuan recorded 310,391 sales from January to September 2026, down 9.6% year over year. Geely says more details on the Russian specification will follow closer to launch; its EX5 electric SUV and EX5 EM-i and EM-R hybrids are already available there.
