Geely made its brand debut in Pakistan at an event in Islamabad on October 24, 2026, with local partner Bestway Automotive. The company announced that three models are planned for the market: the EX2, EX5 and Starray EM. The event’s later remarks identified the Starray version as the Starray EM-R, but no detailed specifications or prices were provided in the report.
Bestway executives outlined the company’s initial retail and operating plans. Bestway has acquired an assembly plant in Karachi and intends to open eight dealerships in the first phase, including three or four company-owned outlets. Initial operations are planned in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, with workshops, parts localization and a charging network also in the pipeline.
Geely Auto International Corporation Vice President Evin Ye described Pakistan as Geely’s first market in South Asia. His presentation covered the company’s history and international operations, naming Volvo, Lotus, smart, ZEEKR and Lynk & Co among its brands. The event also featured a first vehicle handover and a display of the three announced models.
Bestway said more products would follow, but the launch announcement did not set out a timeline for the additional models or for the planned assembly and dealership operations.
