Omoda & Jaecoo plans to launch the electric Omoda QQ in Brazil in 2027, reviving the QQ name with a substantially larger hatchback than the small Chery model sold there in the past. The company is using the Omoda badge because rights to the QQ name in Brazil belong to the Caoa Chery joint operation, helping the new car avoid a commercial clash with that business. The original QQ was sold in Brazil in the 2000s and was later produced in Jacareí, São Paulo.

The new car measures 4.195 metres long, 1.81 metres wide and about 1.57 metres tall, with a 2.70-metre wheelbase. Its cabin has a digital instrument display and a 15.6-inch touchscreen, plus ventilated and heated front seats. Luggage capacity is 375 litres in the rear, with a further 70-litre storage compartment at the front. The model is sold as the QQ3 in China and as the Chery Q in markets including the Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia and South Africa.

China-market versions use the T12 platform with a rear motor and rear-wheel drive. The entry version produces 79 hp and pairs a 29.48-kWh battery with a claimed 310 km of CLTC range. A higher-output variant has 122 hp, 11.7 kgfm of torque and a 41.28-kWh battery, with a claimed 420 km. A 30-to-80% fast charge is reported to take about 16.5 minutes. These figures do not confirm the Brazilian configuration.

Omoda has not announced Brazilian specifications. Dealers reportedly expect the 122-hp version with the larger battery, targeting at least 300 km under the Inmetro cycle. Estimated prices range from R$125,000 to R$150,000. The QQ will enter a field that includes the BYD Dolphin and Dolphin Mini, Geely EX2, GAC Aion UT and MG4 Urban, and is among seven Omoda & Jaecoo launches planned for 2027.
