VinFast sets September debut for new electric scooter, widely expected to be an upscale take on the Evo

VinFast has locked in a September launch for a new electric scooter, and it has already revealed the name: Grand Premia. The model is one of two fresh two-wheelers the Vietnamese brand has been teasing, and a set of preview images shows a decidedly more elegant look than the current range.

The rear end closely mirrors the Evo family, which is why observers expect the Grand Premia to be a premium evolution of that line rather than an entirely new platform. Up front, a modern LED headlamp sits inside a classically styled round daytime-running ring, while the front apron gains a glossy chrome-accented panel that echoes the sort of styling usually associated with Vespa.

Technical details remain under wraps, but the higher positioning suggests a stronger motor, improved battery technology, and smarter connectivity than any Evo variant on sale today.

For context, the current Evo lineup spans Lite, Neo, Grand and standard trims, priced from 14.3 million dong for the Lite to 22.5 million dong for the Grand before promotions. VinFast has also just added two other new scooters, the Kyo and the Kinet, to its portfolio.
